US:  Wanderstay Houston is a hostel (yes, hostel- not hotel) full of character and we cater to modern day explorers who seek community experiences, socialization, while traveling on a budget. We are centrally located, and we offer a choice of shared bunks or private room accommodations.

Guest Service Associates (Part Time)

We are hiring Guest Service Associates. You will be the first point of contact for our guests as they enter the property and possibly the country. You will provide recommendations and input on everything from the best sushi restaurant to the best place to grab a local beer. You will check guests in and out, help keep the property clean and tidy, and help create a fun atmosphere for our guests.

POSITION:

Entry Level Hostel Manager

The Hostel Manager regularly interacts with and works with staff members to improve efficiency, product, and overall guest satisfaction. The Hostel Manager amends, creates, and implements policies and procedures that improve guest and staff experience.

This position plays a large roll in maximizing hostel occupancy and profit through rate variation – analyzing and observing trends to ensure maximum occupancy. The Hostel Manager oversees the appearance and safety of the hostel is maintained. The position has managerial authority and decision-making discretion with respect to hiring and firing; training and reviewing staff performance; and creating performance goals and incentives.

The Hostel Manager must set the example for staff to deliver a standard of service and presentation that meets guests’ needs and expectations.

  • Planning and overseeing monthly community events at the hostel
  • Creating partnerships with local businesses and Wanderstay Houston
  • Managing employees (hiring, firing, training, work schedules, etc.)
  • Increasing and maintaining hostel occupancy
  • Successfully running the day to day operations of the hostel
  • Managing social media accounts
